This action packed afternoon aboard one of our Clipper 60s offers a taste of sailing aboard an Ocean Race Yacht. Under the guidance of our professional and experienced Skipper and Mate, your group will have the opportunity to be an active members of crew for the afternoon and try out all aspects of sailing, from taking the wheel of the yacht as she speeds through the Solent to working on the foredeck for sail changes. Alternatively there is space to sit away from the action if some of your guests would prefer to sit back, relax and just enjoy the ride.
Meet the crew in our riverside events centre at just before 12pm for a cup of tea or coffee before heading down to the pontoons to board your yacht for the experience. Our professional crew will then introduce you to the yacht and give a short safety brief before slipping lines. Enjoy a baguette lunch as we motor out of the picturesque river Hamble to the famous sailing waters of the Solent. Here you will help hoist the sails and get your first taste of sailing, as the Clipper 60 starts to move under wind power alone.
The exact course for the trip will depend on the tides, but the Skipper will introduce you to lots of sailing manoeuvres during this hands on experience aboard a 60ft Ocean Race Yacht before we return to the marina for 4pm.
With two identical Clipper 60s we can host Half Day Full Boat Hire Events for groups up to from 6 to 24 people. Maximum of 12 people per boat. Price per boat.
